Grizzly Mum and Cubs Stalked by Black Bear Boar
This is the last sighting we had of this special Grizzly Sow and her two amazing Cubs of the Year. It was the end of June and all was very peaceful until we heard a breaking branch. Mum immediately started "huffing" and led her cubs quickly away.. with this Black Bear Boar entering the same space just seconds after. Sorry we didn't catch the Mum and Cubs running, but have to say that it was a unique encounter of a Much Larger Bear with Cubs knowing that self-preservation was much more important than anything that may be threatening them. She could have easily removed/challenged this threat, but chose to avoid any confrontation here today. We are really looking forward to seeing this family again very soon.
